Directions for use:
The new Apex Bean Bag™ is truly a better mousetrap. Incorporating the most versatile and functional design to date; it addresses the mobile support needs of the photographer like no other on the market.
To insure maximum durability the bag is made of tightly woven heavy-duty nylon pack cloth, sewn with high strength polyester thread. The bag will not leak regardless of filler material used. We found that sunflower seed, rice, and beans worked the best and were the easiest to find.
The unique design provides a stable platform for attaching your ball head or gimbal head, allowing you to track, pan, auto-focus, without the problems typically associated with bean bag use. Moreover, this versatile design negates the need to purchase a bulky and heavy to transport aluminum window mount.
-For tripod head use: place the blonde nylon washer over the stud on the aluminum plate provided as a spacer. Next, slide the plate with nylon washer into the top pocket of the bag taking care to fit the threaded stud through the opening in the center of the pocket and secure the Velcro closure. Then, remove the black nylon washer from the small pocket located on the bean bag and place between the tripod head base and the bag. This will help keep the pack cloth from twisting when the head is tightened.
*Each Apex Bean Bag is provided with an aluminum plate that can be inserted into the top pocket of the bag for a tripod head. The aluminum plate can be removed when desired to use as a regular soft shell bean bag.*
-When using the Apex Bean Bag without a tripod head, remove the aluminum plate from the top pocket. The large flat top will provide a highly stable surface for lens support on its own, while also allowing the bag to be easily inverted for use on a car hood or the ground. The U shape portion that is covered in high tack material provides outstanding stabilization of equipment when the bag is inverted.
-The buckle straps located on the bottom of the bag can be used to secure it to an object such as a vehicle door handle, fence rail, etc for better stability.
The fill zipper is covered with a weather resistant flap, logically positioned in an easy to fill location.
The attachment loop provides a convenient place to secure Apex Tripod Belt™ pouches and bags, as well as most others manufactures products. No more fumbling for additional items like converters, flash, extra batteries, flash cards. A large side pocket provides additional storage capacity for items.
